Join us for our special event from April 23 to 26, 2026.
This will be an opportunity to “ride through beauty” and explore the Gargano by bike on a guided tour lasting several days.
Event Program
- April 23, from Monte Sant'Angelo to Mattinata
The cycling stage begins in Monte Sant'Angelo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the Basilica of San Michele, located in a cave where the cult of St. Michael originated.
After visiting Pulsano Abbey, we will descend along a coastal path to reach Monte Saraceno, one of the most scenic spots in the whole of Puglia.
The stage ends in Mattinata, with a nice swim and participation in the first evening of Orchidays, the Orchid Festival organized in Mattinata.
The stage is 46 km long, with an elevation gain of 750 m and a loss of 1,493 m.
- April 24, from Mattinata to Vieste
The stage begins with the climb to the panoramic area of Valico del Lupo, before returning to the beautiful coastline.

There will be bathroom breaks during the stage, before arriving in Vieste.
The stage is 60 km long, with an elevation gain of 1100 m and a loss of 1153 m.
- April 25, from Vieste to the Umbra Forest
This coastal stage includes a visit to the trabucchi, the giants of the Gargano sea, ancient fishing machines that are still in use today.
We will arrive in Peschici before climbing up to the Umbra Forest, a UNESCO site due to its ancient beech woods.
The stage is 48 km long, with an elevation gain of 1250 m and a loss of 833 m.
- April 26, from the Umbra Forest to Mattinata
The last stage includes a tour of the Umbra Forest, before returning to the coast and cycling along the wonderful Path of Love.
The stage ends in Mattinata, where the Orchidays Festival events await us.
The stage is 48 km long, with an elevation gain of 881 meters and a loss of 1,560 meters.
It will be a wonderful adventure.

We (two couples in our sixties) have just returned from a 5-night self-guided e-bike tour in the Gargano (October 2025) and were thrilled with our experience. The company is run by Michele, a friendly, welcoming person who is passionate about the beautiful part of Italy he calls home. At the end of each day, he asked us how we felt and made adjustments to the next day's route (more gravel or asphalt, mileage, etc.). We always felt that we had good support for our self-guided trip. The e-bikes were high quality and well maintained. We stayed in the historic centre of Monte Sant'Angelo and woke up to a beautiful sunrise outside our window, an agritourism with olive oil and cooking school in Mattinata, a cosy B&B nestled in the historic centre of Vieste and, perhaps the highlight of the trip, the Hotel Elda, an oasis within the Foresta Umbra park that also houses a world-class restaurant that uses numerous ingredients and wines from the region. The Gargano is a paradise for cyclists. The roads are in excellent condition and there are breathtaking views at every turn. Simply a magical landscape, perfect for slow riding on an e-bike.
